Ebrahim Rezaei, a member of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's Parliament, told IRNA on Monday that Iran's trade volume with Russia saw a considerable increase since the current administration in Iran took office, reaching to 4 billion dollars.
Rezaei said that the two countries agreed to increase their trade exchanges to 10 billion dollars a year, but that he believed the number could reach 20 billion dollars.
The Iranian MP believed that the sanctions imposed against Iran and Russia encouraged the two countries to come closer and mutually supply each other's hindered demands.
He urged completion of transportation infrastructure that connect Iran and Russia through all ground, marine and aerial routes and facilitation of bottlenecks like customs formalities.
